Best Friends? Simple?

Most people say that once you have a best friend you don't have to work at your relationship and that that person will always be there for you no matter what. Well that person will always be there for you if you work at your relationship. You can't just make a good friend and then blow that person off. Best friends are something that come very rarely. They are "peculiar treasures". You don't just find them at every street corner.
I have about three good friends and I am very privileged tho have them. I was used to having everyone as my friend but as I get older that becomes harder. My "peculiar treasures" of friends are some very special girls that I am quite thankful for.
Best friends and your relationship with them can't be blown off and ignored. Work hard to keep those "peculiar treasures" so that they will be there for you no matter what.
Best friends are hard to come by and finding one isn't so small and easy. Friendships take time, effort, and perseverance.  Best friends- no simple thing.

Friendship? Small?

I have realized that people don't really care what about what they say to people because they're always like, "That person is my friend. They don't really care what what I say to them. They know I'm joking".  You can't say that and you really can't think that no matter what you say to a person they are always going to be your friend.

"Sticks and stones can break my bones
but words can never hurt me."

Do people really believe that because from past experience that doesn't seem as true as it did when I was three.  So please think before you speak.

So as you can see, anything that you say that you don't really think is hurtful but is can ruin a friendship.

"Small Happenings"

Today in history class we watched a video on how the Revolutionary War got started. When we got home we had to write up an answer to a question that out teacher gave us. The question was, 'The producers of America: Story of Us, named the first episode "Rebels". It is easy to understand why they would include people such as John Hancock, but why would they include the early colonists of Jamestown and Plymouth in this episode?' One of my classmates said this, "...you can't just include the main things in history, you have to include all of them even the minor things that happened." So where would we be if the "minor" things didn't happen?

Small Things

So I didn't get the part I auditioned for in our school musical but that's okay because I got Stage Manager. Which I did want. I was disappointed but then I thought of something, "there are no small parts because every part is big. Without the 'small parts' there would be no show. Even the audience plays a part because without them who would we perform for?" So that proves that there are not small things or simple things because everything and everyone has their own part that contributes.

Auditions: Not So Simlpe for Serious Actors

So me (hopefully me) and the rest of the people in my choir class that made it through class auditions have auditions for parts in the musical (Aladdin). Most people who aren't trying out say things like "good luck" and "you'll do fine" but does that really help? Maybe a little but not that much. Mostly we're just nervous and thinking that people think we'll do fine just puts more pressure on us or maybe it's that we focus to much on what we have to do rather than how we are going to do it. Whichever way it is auditions just aren't simple.

One Simple Thing: Popularity

Popularity is one thing that people don't really think about unless you are a girl in school. So it is considered simple. To a girl (and some guys) if they aren't popular they are considered not in "The Group" and they feel like they aren't good enough. But me and some of my friends (OK a friend) were talking and we came up with this.
 - Being popular doesn't matter. It's the type of friends you have and your friendship that matters.
- You may want to be part of "The Group" but that doesn't mean that you should be.
- If you become part of "The Group" those girls probably won't be the best friends that you've ever had.

So it doesn't matter if you are popular or not. As long as you have friends it will be alright.

Simple Things Again

We were sitting at dinner today talking and my dad said this, “The simple things that we do are what matter, the time we spend together matters. Like me baking cakes with my grandmother.” One of those things for me is when I go running with my dad.  “We need to share the things of simplicity.”

The Simplest Things

Sometimes the simplest things of life are the biggest. Such things as having friends over or going somewhere with your family, because those things are what make memories. This blog is about those things that make my life so special. So let's see what makes my life so special?
